Krušnohorská bílá stopa, KBS (The Ore Mountain White Trail)
is a civil association, registered 11th January 2008 at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The founders of KBS are representatives of 6 non-profit organisations which maintain in winter cross-country trails and in summer biking tracks in the Ore Mountains (the so called Ore Mountain Magistrala).

The aim of this project is to provide the visitors of the Ore Mountain with high-quality services related to cross-country skiing and biking all over the year.
Close cooperation was established between the founders and towns and villages whose area the Magistrala runs through. The members of the KBS in cooperation with the partner subjects take care of creation, maintenance, enlargement and modernisation of all sections of the KBS and related small constructions (shelters, maps, waymarking, etc.). Most of the centres of the KBS are also connected with cross-country trails in Germany (e.g. Holzhau, Alternberg, Seiffen). This fact makes the project unique all over Europe. The connected, machine-prepared trails are about 250 km long and are situated between 740 and 950 m above see level.
The project could be implemented thanks to the important support of the Ústí Region, under the auspices of the region vice-mayor Ing. Petr Fiala. Significant share on the project financing have the Ústí region, towns Osek, Bílina, Duchcov, Litvínov, Chomutov, Krupka and Ústí nad Labem, ČEZ Foundation and RWE Transgas.
